About Your Card

Two Words: Lucky You.

Somebody likes you enough to give you a Do It Yourself Home Improvement Gift Card. That means your next home project is at least partially paid for. Who doesn't love that! If you'd like to share the love by giving a Do It Yourself Home Improvement Gift Card, visit one of the many retail locations Nationwide.

What's extra great about this particular Gift Card is that you can use it at any major home improvement retailer - and even some local mom-and-pop stores. In fact, we have gathered literally thousands of retailers for you to choose from.

Making a Purchase is Easy as Strapping on a Tool Belt.

Merchants cannot determine the balance on your Gift Card. So if you try to purchase an item of greater value than your Gift Card balance, your Gift Card may be declined.

This is a given with the major retailers, but if you have a favorite corner merchant, check our extremely comprehensive list of home improvement retailers.

At the time of purchase, give the Gift Card to the cashier and sign the receipt or push "credit" on the keypad.

You may also select a PIN of your choice to use your Card for a debit transaction. Click here to learn more about selecting your PIN.

What If My Gift Card is Declined?

If your Gift Card is declined, it may be that your retailer does not accept Discover® cards, or it is not an identified home improvement retailer.

Another reason a Gift Card is declined is because the balance can't cover the entire purchase. Again, not a big deal, because most retailers (though not all) will allow "split transactions," where you use a second payment method - cash, check, credit card or debit card - for the difference.

Other Helpful Hints

You can use your Do It Yourself Home Improvement Gift Card as soon it lands in your hot little hands.

At time of purchase, give your Gift Card to the cashier and sign the receipt or push "credit" on the keypad. If you wish to use your card for a debit transaction, you will need to select a PIN of your choice for your Card. See the frequently asked questions to learn more about selecting your PIN.

Write down your Gift Card number and keep it in a safe place.

Don't forget to sign the back of your Gift Card.

Your Gift Card does not have ATM access, and you may not use your card to get cash back at the point of sale.

It is recommended that you keep all receipts of purchases made with your Gift Card.

Sorry, there are no cash refunds.
